Health and care services provided across Northumberland already play a vital role in supporting and improving the health and wellbeing of the people we serve, and we will always strive to be the best in the provision of healthcare. Northumbria Healthcare has launched a Community Promise which goes beyond day-to-day care for patients to tackle the wider factors that affect the happiness and healthiness of our communities, not least as work continues to recover from the effects from Covid-19. It’s based on six key pillars, which relate to the wider factors that fuel health inequalities – poverty, employment, education, economy, environment and wellbeing. You can read more here.

Partners, not just within the NHS or the health and care sector, but from across a wide range of organisations who all work to improve the lives of people in Northumberland are welcome sign up to the promise by visiting our ‘virtual promise wall’ - https://forms.office.com/r/ZpwJ3GxL7A

You can watch our launch event film here.
